douglassamueljackson, why aren't YOU defending the war with your own body rather than with just lip-service? Anyone can flap their mouth and make all sorts of noise (and even sound "patriotic") but few have the testicular fortitude (or COJONES) to put on a uniform and join the ranks of our enlisted who are risking their lives so that asinine idiots can make such ludicrous statements.
You propose to "defend" this war by sending others to fight? You are a perfect example of what Dubya Bush is all about! Sending other people's boys and girls (husbands, wifes, mothers, fathers, etc) but never sending YOUR OWN... he hasn't even had the nerve, nor Cheney, to attend ONE blessed funeral of our enlisted personnel that have given their lives for this contrived war, while Dubya and Cheney's cronies make huge fortunes by over-billing and over-charging for services and supplies for our troops.
You are NOT someone I'd be proud to call an American! Why don't YOU grow a pair of testicles and join up and defend the war? It's easy to send someone else to battle while you stay at home with the children and women, isn't it?
I promise you that I will NOT try to discourage you from joining the armed services... go ahead and join.
There's an old, old, old saying in Spanish that translates to: "Don't send someone to go take a $hit when you have your own a$ $-hole."

I unlike you apparently support every troop over there in Iraq and I hope you are not an American saying such horrible things and giving our troops such little respect.. do you think that the only troops in Iraq are Republican Conservatives??? Do you think the only troops to die over there are Republican Conservatives??? Many many troops are over there and I hope you gain more respect for them ... I hope no "free riding liberals" over in Iraq, or that came back from Iraq see your question.

We don't have a draft. When we did, it was by randomly selected birthdates. Why in the world do you think our troops are conservative Republicans? I have Democrat friends in the military. It's a career for people of all political beliefs.

NO, since they are against the war, but think we should be doing good deeds, I vote we send them all to Africa and Afghanistan on building projects to help the people. I hear Darfur could use a few thousand aid workers right now.
