The desire to win. There are some sports teams that have individually talented people so they sign them for each position and the team loses, but some teams with average talented players win championships because they know how to work together towards achieving the common goal of winning.

I would say its a mixture of both. You can have a very talented team who just does not play like they want to win it all. You have to have the talent AND the desire.

Talent of the team. Then if both are of comperable talent, the desire comes into play. (also officiating, coaching and sometimes blind luck)

i would definantly say desire to win because you can be the best but not want to win and you probably wont but even the worst athlete who wants to win willl show it in their face and truely believe they can win and you will i know it sounds corny but im serious
