how do you read other peoples hands?

my mother knows how to read hands and if she reads hands it is true
she never showd me how to read other peoples hads can some one help me ?

My mother did too, when I was a little kid out playing I would come in the house before dinner and my Mom would say" Let me look at your hands" Go Wash Them!!!!
