I'm making my own manga series and would like to know what to do in terms of getting it started e.g which companies to approach and how. Also are there any relevant links/websites I could check?

Well there is this competition on Tokyopop.com called "The rising stars of manga". You just have to submit a 15 to 20 pages of original manga that you have come up with. To check the details, go onto the following websites below.

yeah, get a computer program and there are books that teach you how to draw manga, though if you're going to make one, do it in the true sense of manga,
