We are going to Toronto and then onto Niagara on the sunday(hopefully).
Only problem is we dont drive. Any ideas to get to Niagara Falls from Toronto on a sunday?

Then we were thinking of staying in Niagara On The Lake, Sunday night and going back to Toronto on the Monday.

All by public transport. Can this be done? Any tips?

Thanks alot

VIA Rail has service between Toronto and Niagara Falls 7 days a week. The timing and frequency of the trains depends on the day, but you should be able to find out more information through their website at www.viarail.ca.

Once you're in the Falls, there are several companies catering to tourists that will offer shuttle services, as do many of the hotels. As far as public transport, Niagara Falls does lack in this area. Taxis are frequent and easy to find, however, that can get expensive after a few trips.

As far as Niagara-on-the-Lake, there is no public transit, and the town is a good distance from other cities (10-15 miles). Sadly, without being part of a bus tour, your best option for Niagara-on-the-Lake is driving (I know you said that's not an option, but here, that's all there is). Again, taxis can be used, but that's pricey after a few trips.

Hard Rock Cafe at the Sky dome where the Toronto Blue Jays play Major League Baseball; Watch a Game there too. CNN Tower (tallest man made structure); Spend all day at the Toronto Science Center (World Class) hands on science center. You're also about an hour away from Niagara Falls and that's a whole day, plus there's an amusement park there too. If you really want to know what's going on in Toronto contact the Toronto Convention and Visitors Bureau either by telephone or on-line and check out the published calendar. Have Fun...........

You can get a bus, no problem. Anyone (your hotel/friends) can tell you where to get on a bus to Niagara and you can buy returns.

Greyhound bus. Be carefull of Indian road blockades. You never know with the lack of protection from the Ontario Government.
