The biggest con for me was time... you're working weekends and evenings, which means you are away from your family. You'll have Open Houses on Sunday while others are having a nice dinner with their family. You'll spend a lot of time with "lookers" who never seem to buy. As for pro, you can make a lot of money in a hot market... and that's the only reason to be in the business. So, you'll have to weigh whether you want more money for your family or more time with your family. I decided I wanted more time with my family... I'm now a teacher. I get to spend the summers with my children... and I'm home nearly every evening. I never have worked on Sunday... a day I reserve for family time.
