When someone makes a gross spelling or punctuation error in their question, I like to point it out (mostly for clarification, you see). Do you think that cuts into my best answer percentage?

I wouldn't mind. As long as your answer is the best for my question then you deserve the 10 points!

Yes because nobody likes that anybody points out his/her mistakes. Also yes for the second question because if suppose I am asking a question,''what would u answer?'' then as your habit is pointing out spelling mistakes, you will tell to use 'you' instead of 'u' then this 'll make me feel angry & I will not select your answer as the best answer resulting in your loss of 10 pts.I think by giving this example, you might get your answer.l

Well since u have a 2% best answer, yes. I personally don't find it annoying when someone corrects me, as long as their not rude bout it. But most people do mind, so ya.

Wouldn't bother me, but I usually use spell check----I can make errors if I type too fast. People here are very unlikely to choose your answer if you correct them on spelling, grammar, or misinformation.

I don't think so. Honesty is a good thing.
If U make a comment tactctfully, then no one would be offended or not choose U as best answer.

Clarification? What are you clarifying? That you can spell and someone else can't? I think that it is rude and in poor taste. Do you also correct someone when they are speaking to you?
