Most people before me have gotten the gist of if but I'll throw my two cents in by comparing it to other forms of Communication.
Intrapersonal - Comm. that takes place in one person, talking to yourself, imagined interactions etc.
Interpersonal - Comm. between two people
Small Group - Comm between 3-12
Public - 13+
Mass Comm - Public speaking that reaches beyond the immediate audience. This can be transmitted through different mediums or it can be a sign or billboard that gets multiple viewings by different audiences.

Mass communication entails different areas such as: Radio, Television, Public Relations, and Journalism. Mass media is the phrase that is most commonly used. Medium is the channel through which a message travels from the source to the receiver. (English lesson "medium" is singular, "media" is plural) In essence Mass Communication is the proper way to transmit information to the masses(people)

mass communication is way to send message to mass public through different medium i.e TV Radio and newspaper...recently Internet is also become the part of Mass Communication.

More than two people talking with each other at the same time. Used to hapen a lot, but the mobile phone and telly has kinda killed it off.
