I'm not due for my period for another 5 days but i've been nauseaus for about 5 days straight.. Overwhelming nausea but no diareah or vomiting although it always feel like i could either. Is it too soon to be getting this? What else could cause sudden nausea for 5 days straight?

You could be pregnant, try taking a first response hpt. You may also be experiencing a flu. Try taking emetrol for the nausea. It's o.t.c. and safe to take during pregnancy.

Every woman is different, and every pregnancy is different. If you are pregnant, it sounds like you have a rough road ahead (sorry). Some women never get sick at all.
Other causes could be a new medication you might be taking, stress, or a virus that might be going around. I wasn't pregnant then, but I had a thing for a while where the smell, taste/texture or even sight of certain foods would kick in my gag reflex.
Give it a week and take a HPT. In the mean time, I don't actually have any nausea remedies to recommend, but I wish you luck. You may also want to see a doctor about it. He/she should be able to detect a pregnancy on a blood test by now, and if it's something else, they can get you a more effective treatment for the nausea.

I knew I was pregnant because I am not easily nauseated and about 4 days before my expected period - I was completed nauseated by something I saw on TV. 4 days later when I took the pregnancy test - it was positive!! I haven't had good luck with the first response pregnancy test that is supposed to tell you "early". I have had a few false positives with those and went to the doctor for a blood test and ended up looking like a total moron when I really wasn't pregnant. I know it's hard to wait, but personally I would wait until the first day of your missed period and take any brand pregnancy test.

Mine started at 5 1/2 weeks. I was vomiting so much that I couldn't even drink water. I had to be hospitalized 3 times from weeks 6-8. Finally they put a Picc Line in my arm and put me on Home Health Care with 24 hour of IV fluids and 8 hour IV Zofran, because I couldn't even swallow a pill. My vomiting lasted until the end of week 12. Now, I'm still nauseous but as long as I take oral zofran every 8 hours I can control it. I finally got my Picc Line out yesterday so no more IV's! I hope if you are pregnant that you don't have to suffer with morning sickness that bad! Good luck!

I wouldn't solely go by or even expect morning sickness with a possible pregnancy...I am now 32 weeks with number 6 and this preg was the only time I had morning sickness with any of them. You night be preg though, so wait a few days and then test. Use your first morning urine to get the best result.
