My partner & I have been broken up for almost a year now, but a few months ago we went to couple's counseling & continued to see one another to try & get back together. I let her use my car to go to Kansas to see her daughter & to Arkansas to see her mother. She went a few hundred miles out otf the way to see her ex & to take her ex with her to see her daughter & spent the night with her ex. She tells me they are just friend, but she didn't tell me she did this. I had to find out. They were together for 10 years. She said she is afraid to tell me anything about seeing her ex because of my reaction. We are not speaking at the moment for three weeks now. I told her that when she got ready to tell me about the rest of the trip to let me know & that it was either the ex or me. She has not called me in three weeks like I said. Is she afraid to tell me or what should I do about us not speaking?
We had made plans for our 4 year Anniversary in Feb. & Valentine's Day just 3 weeks ago.

Whatever you do, keep speaking. Look, when you're speaking, you're learning. Either you'll learn unpleasant things and decide to part and you can get on with your lives, or you'll learn pleasant things and stay together.

But by not speaking you can ONLY drift apart. So my advice would be, swallow your pride, pick up the phone and start talking.

my advice is to stay apart. It's over between the two of you and needs to be buried. She probably needs your assistence for some things and you accomodate her, but you do so expecting something from her like a relationship.Let this go ,it's not healthy for either of you.
