Mountain lions had roamed on nearby Mount Nittany until the 1880s, when they were eliminated. The origin of the name "Mount Nittany" is obscure, the most commonly accepted explanation being that it is derived of Native American words (loosely pronounced as "neet-a-nee") meaning either "single mountain" or a protective barrier against the elements

To me the saying of Churchill is inspiring. “Responsibility is the price of greatness.” ----Winston Churchill **************************************... Some of the other inspired sayings on ‘Responsibility’ by many other eminent scholars! “It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.” “You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you do not say” “Freedom is the will to be responsible to ourselves” “It is the responsibility of leadership to provide opportunity, and the responsibility of individuals to contribute.” “Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more” “If you want children to keep their feet on the ground, put some responsibility on their shoulders.” “The willingness to accept responsibility for one's own life is the source from which self-respect springs.” “People think responsibility is hard to bear. It's not. I think that sometimes it is the absence of responsibility that is harder to bear. You have a great feeling of impotence.” “You can delegate authority, but not responsibility.” “We have the Bill of Rights. What we need is a Bill of Responsibilities.” “The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between, the leader is a servant.”
