The biggest and most daunting militia in Iraq, led by Al Sadr, has now agreed to cooperate and LAY DOWN THEIR ARMS. . . Huge News especially if they really mean it . Definitely falls into the category. . . . . One Small Step for Man, One GIANT Leap for Mankind . Peace could be restored in Iraq MUCH quicker and with LESS CASUALTIES if they really foolow-up on that .
Rafsanjani of Iran is fighting for Iran to comply with UN Resolutions on their nuclear program . He's rallying support in an effort to beat Ahmadinejad and , quite frankly, he's making GREAT PROGRESS . It's not over by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a Good Start, and has promise .
Now will you Liberal people, join in the HOPE for these 2 break-throughs and for REAL PEACE ? I surely HOPE so .

That would mean acknowledging that Bush's policies have worked so don't bet on it. It seems both sides of the isle will ignore progress and the facts because of their hatred. Though much more on the left.

Here is what I hope - that we do not mess up by misinterpreting what is happening here and using faulty intelligence to support the wrong people and go after the wrong people. I hope we don't try to put the fix in any elections in the region as we have done all my life going back to the Shah in Iran and the Baath party in Iraq -yes, we did put them in power way back when.

I hope for peace also but my experience has been that we in the West love to meddle in the Middle East and when we do we just make it worse. Heck, I even hoped that Bush was right about conquering Iraq even though I knew in my heart that it was wrong.

Guess we Liberals always hope for the best but we also plan for the worst.

As President Reagan used to say, "Trust but verify." Please show the link to this story. It's not that we don't believe you, it's just that I want to see it for myself.

Let's see, it's not on Yahoo, not on Reuters, and not on Fox. Another WMD story?

And if this story was true, do you really expect these rug merchants to do something we can trust? Where have you been for the past 20 years? Living in a cave like OBL?

There is no link, is there? Just another lie. Your reluctance to prove what you say says volumes...

"Rafsanjani of Iran is fighting for Iran to comply with UN Resolutions"

It's because of the UN and they're sick of Ahmadinejad, not because of Bush.

Liberals would be pissed beyond belief if those two things hold true. Any positive news in Iraq is bad news for the liberals. That's a FACT. I wonder why?

I always have HOPE! It's just faith that I lack--faith that Dubya will do the right thing! Let's HOPE he doesn't blow any more chances at peace and understanding in the Middle East in his mad dash for oil and profits!

But, don't forget: He's the "Decider"; he can do as he pleases regardless of the will of the people he supposedly represents!
