This morning we observed a baby gold fish and some eggs in our fish bowl along with other fishes. We fear other fishes may eat the young ones. Is that true? What precautions are needed at this stage? What other care is needed for the baby fish?

Leave the eggs where they are but watch for new hatchlings and remove them ASAP; The parents will generally eat the fry if they can, so remove the baby. Either put it in a hatchery in the same tank (if its big enough) or put it in a separate tank;
Feed the fry on liquifry Number 1 (for egg hatched fry). As a general rule they can go back in with the adults when they are too big to go into the adults mouth! But you will still need to watch they don't get pushed out at feeding time being so much smaller;

How big is this tank? Goldfish should have a large tank. If you want babies, you'll want to remove the parents to a different tank so they don't feast on the eggs. What other fish are in the tank?
