It depends on what you're studying and on what suits you personally. If you have enough time before your exams or assignments, then yeah, two hours a days is much better than waiting to the end and cramming all the study in.
A couple of tips: Break the workload down. Write yourself a chart or flash cards or focus on one subject per day and wrte little cards to test your memory.
Always study in the same place. Somewhere comfortable with good light and organized (a messy workplace is harder to concentrate in)
Finally, try out a couple of diffeent techniques and see what suits you.
I record my study notes on a dictaphone and listen to them
good luck and try not to stress 'cause that never helps

What peaks your interest? I would say that is the best way. If something doesn't interest you, then you probably won't learn anything.

Other ways are:
1. Just touch on the main theme or central parts, not so much the details.
2. Not only answer the question, but think of yourself as a teacher trying to teach what you have just understood.
3. Cliff Notes.
4. Cheat

There's software out there to help you prepare for the SAT's, those work well. Personally I have found that I did better on exams throughout school if I didn't worry about them. All in all that's a more accurate survey of what you know anyway. Mentally you're goign to shut off your brain day after it's over anyway. If you get into a better college because of it, you probably won't do well there in the end. Good luck!!!

Study in a quiet place, no T.V., music is okay....You just need to be free of distractions.
