Sounds like you have a virus or spyware. Download "Spybot Search & Destroy". It's free and it works great for removing spyware from your computer. Also, download an updated version of virus software to check for viruses on your computer. After doing those things you may want to uninstall and reinstall your IE.

If you're not currently running any sort of antivirus software, _GET_SOME_NOW!_ You should never be connecting to the internet without it. At best, it'll tell you when it has prevented a virus from landing on your system because it was something that was specified in the pattern file. At worst, it'll usually at least tell you that it spotted a file that started behaving like a virus after it landed on your system, but at least you'll know what file it is and you'll then be able to check their online support to find out how to properly clean it off your system (just deleting it won't always work, if it set up a reinstaller somewhere). I'd recommend Trend Micro's PC-Cillin, as they started getting better ratings than either Norton or McAfee when I started using their program in 2001, and they're also less expensive to relicense each year.
Then, if you don't already have any, get a few different copies of Spyware/Adware prevention software. Some of the best are freeware, including the one that really started the whole trend (Ad-Aware by Lavasoft), and another nice program called Spybot: Search and Destroy. There are certain enterprising individuals with good programming skills who took it personally that people were releasing badly-written code that would cripple their machines with the sole purpose of spying on them. So they decided to fight back, and by offering versions of their programs for free, they hit a wider install base, thus doing more to prevent spyware/adware from doing what it was intended to do.
Anyways, run a virus check, run spyware/adware checks, and see if that clears up the problem. If not, well, it was still a good idea to protect your computer from maliscious programs.

you may want to turn on your pop up blocker if you already did this check and make sure your firewall is on this will stop a lot of the pop ups that are considered spam. if you are not sure what they are i would just close them out because every time you accept and open one that is more un-needed material downloaded on to you computer and most of the time it goes in to hidden files and is very hard to remove. i hope this helps.

go into your start menu and look up startup erase any programs that are here not being used on startup...then block the site by coping the address from the site itself..then block this in the internet settings and you should be ok.
