i am trying to get portrait pictures of my daughters,13 and17,but the cost is so out of my range, Olan Mills are gone into liquadation, \venture are way too expensive. when my kids were young it was so much cheaper..help as they would love some new pictures as they cringe!! when they see their old ones. thanks in advance. i live in the UK ,Cambridgeshire

many stores offer affordable portraits. I am not sure what you have around you but here are some names of stores that offer this: Wal-Mart, K-Mart, JC Penney, Sears. Hope this helps. If all else fails buy a really nice sheet and hang it on your wall as a background and take a few pictures yourself and have your daughters pick the one they like the best then have it enlarged.

many places in america have pictures like sears, jc penny or even target have pictures. and many run ads in the paper regularly for discount packages. good luck in finding somewhere affordable. if nothing else you could contact a local photography school or class and see if they offer pictures at a reduced rate for students. good luck!

Do you have People Pictures out there.?
or like here we have Sears and they have a studio.. and it is only $29.00 out here for the smallest package.. and you make your own copies from that..
Try your shopping malls?

you must have some photographic shops in your area, that have studios!! Im in London and they are everywhere, even snappy snaps have them, however they are not cheap... ! You must have a studio near u!! Look in the yellow pages

I am not sure who do the photographs in Debenhams but, have found them to be great in the past!

why not drop down to your local arts college and see if you can find a student to do them for you?
they will probably have access to studio facilities, or they may be able to do them at your home. it will be great practice for them and they will not charge you hundreds.
