feb is summer here in melbourne...temps can vary from 18 to 40 but i would say on average you can expect 28-30....lately march has had quite a few days....i noticed this as my sons birthday is in march and we have had really hot days to celebrate on....April things can get a little cooler but still generally in the low 20s
Keep in mind that melbournes weather is not very consistant and you can experience 4 seasons in one day.....
so you will need to bring your sunscreen, a jumper and an umbrella just to cover your bases
Its a wonderful place with heaps to do

It's Autumn there, generally considered to be the best weather window for moderate temperatures and good beach conditions. The Australian International Air Show at Avalon (about 30 miles South of Melbourne) is held in late March to take advantage of the weather at that time of year. Take note of the other answers however, take light sweaters also, it can get chilly at night.

It'll be changeable, being autumn. Probably be at the highest around 30*-35*c, then in April around 15*-20*.
Melbourne is considered one of the only cities in Australia to have all seasons in one day. So take your swimmers, jumper & umbrella!
