is it pen ink? is it new or has it already been washed and dried? i always use hairspray or alcohol to get ink stains out but if it's already been washed and dried you may be stuck with ink stains. my husband constantly leaves pens in his pants pockets and they get washed and dried. pisses me off every time!

I would try the hairspray trick. If it doesn't work and you don't want to totally ditch your jeans, you could get some sandpaper and sand the stain so it has that worn look you see on jeans. "Wear" them out in some other places, too! If you want to be really unique, why not try some intentional ink stains on pants? Get some ink (or break a few pens apart), and drip away a la Jackson Pollock!

What kind of ink is it? If it is from an ordinary ball point pen, get a bottle of old fahioned, cheap HAIR SPRAY and spray it well. Then wash it. Sounds weird, but I've done it.
Also, look in the detergent aisle for some little yellow bottles of cleaners called CARBONA. They have one for all different kinds of stains and have directions clearly explained. I've found they work very well for unusual stains.

I suggest washing them in warm or hot water with some Shout applied right to the stain.

You can try hairspray, but since the jeans went through the dryer, it is possible the stain is set and nothing will help.

Try spraying it with hair spray...not the pump kind but the kind in the can...spray rinse, spray rinse, spray rinse. I had luck with a pair of white jeans doing this. It works best if it hasn't been washed and put in the dryer though.
