No. Background checks require people to work and they don't do it for free. There are several companies however that do it at cost effective prices for companies or individuals that you can find by Googling background checks. Those done by the government for security clearances cost much much more and are much more thorough, where as just criminal background checks which is what you will get from these companies are usually 50-150 dollars.

I used that website http://www.echeck.pcti-system.com .. the one referenced by that detective guy. I found exactly what I was looking for. So much for Mr Right, or rather Mr Convicted Felon with 2 Liens against him totaling over 30,000$ and an ex-wife I never knew about!! Thank God I found out the truth before it was too late. We were almost engaged!!

Michigan county's,have a Internet set up that lets anyone check
out if people have been locked up,it also states what they did.
Its free,perhaps your county has this.
