I think any dad would do that its called protecting your daughter, i shouldnt think he would go to jail , but there may be a chance that the other fella could press charges.
Dont worry about it, keep quiet

No you shouldn't say anything, it's not your fault that your dad chose to beat up the guy. Hopefully your dad will not go to jail, but he knew what he was doing.

However I think that you need to have a word with your boyfriend as he should have been the person to tell his dad not to hit on you and in the future you should not go around to your boyfriends. Also after chatting with your boyfriend, depending on what he says about the situation you need to think about if this is a guy you really want to be with

How would it be your fault, unless you accepted his advances?AND why didnt you tell your boyfriend about this so he could sort it out? Anyhow, keep your trap shut,if thats what your dad tells you to do.Anyway, why do you feel it would make any difference with regards to the police if you tell them your dad hit the bloke because of what you told him? He still hit him, so he'll still be in trouble either way, even though your boyfriends dad sounds like a total sleeze.

Your dad was defending your honour but he was out of order in the way he dealt with it - where was your b/f - did he know what was going on? If you are questioned by the police you will have to tell them what happened and hopefully your father will get away with a caution

you should tell the whole story to the police. it is not your fault that your dad took this course of action. your dad loves you very much from what you are saying but should maybe seek anger management. as for your boyfriends dad he is a disgusting old perv and i hope your boyfriend is sticking up for you and if not get shot of him.

even if you did tell the police that it was your fault they would not find you at fault because your dad is the one who beat the guy up

How was it your fault if your dad took it into his own hands? And why wasn't your bf standing up for you? And why did you go anywhere near his dad again after the first time he hit on you? Too little info.

When it comes to the police you're better off telling them everything. Why didn't your dad go after your boyfriend? You
can't hold his parents responsible for his actions. I would leave
the parents out of it and call the cops on the boyfriend.

He should no longer be your boyfriend honey and I think that is not what you want to hear, but it is basically for your own sake that is say this. Your Dad is hurt because someone abused his daughter and now is the time for you to listen to your Dad and maybe give him a hug at the same time. Goodluck.

your dad was just protecting you from a slime ball - just wait to see how far things go - your dad prob broke the law by hitting someone but thats not your fault and your dad had a really good reason to do so
