Each person is different but in a sense all the same. All of the things you listed do make a person happy but only for a very short time. Its kinda like a high. For example: you get your income taxes in, you have money, you are happy, But the happiness fades. I think happiness is fullfillment. I know I am happy because I look around at the things, people, my job, money situation( good or bad) and I dont need a thing. I am completely happy with every aspect of my life.

Money, wine, war are not sources of happiness. however, love is a perpetual fountain for love and for men, it could come from women and vice versa. However, love is not the same as lust. hence, while a woman can be a mighty source of happiness, sex and lust for it may prove to be just the opposite.
As someone has very rightly said: 'should you want to have happiness, ask not what IT comp;rises.'
Then, happiness does not exist outside and if at all a search is to be made it has to be directed within your own self only.
Good health is a sure source of happiness but negative feelings nursed by a powerful memory are sure killers.
Happiness is being happy look naive but is very true.
Many of us may not agree with the view that real happiness is the joy one derives when on a mission to find eventual truth, by whatever name you call it.

Money is only any good if you can use it
love can make you feel on top of the world or down in the deepest of pitts.

Stay away from woman if you want to be happy!
(Although I can't resist them because I find them fascinating...)

Wine/alcohol will only give you temporay happiness, and if you have too much it also acts as a depressive. A real double edged sword.
War? Don't be silly...

At the end of the day, its up to YOU to decide what makes you "happy" and do it!

Happiness is not a destination. Happiness is a process. Process of what you may ask? Of doing anything in your daily life. You want proof. Ok, at the end of day, think about things that you have done for the day or things that you observed that make you smile, calm, joy, peaceful, thankful, love, etc. These are the particles of happiness.

it depends on how u define happiness. for some they get their happiness when their with their love ones. and for some they get their happiness when they make other people happy. so u can't really tell from where u get happiness. it's like falling in love, u'll only know when u feel it. everyone will get their happiness. u just have to wait. u may get ur happiness tomorrow, next month or next year. let the happiness come to u.

What happiness is, is defined by the individual person. What would make one person Happiest does not mean that for the other person. It is the fulfillment of contentment of your personal life and the success with the daily struggles and determination of that success in your life that creates your happiness. That is why all the above may make each individual happy in their life at different time in their life. Real happiness in our lives is how you determine your self worth and see yourself in your heart.

People here might share answer of " kids, job, lover . . . etc. Myself...while I do love my kids...my real happiness comes from embracing my own discovered self value which I discovered after divorcing 5 years ago. I discovered my spiritual connectedness with the One. Discovered that my happiness comes from embracing my own self. While I do adore men and am desirous to meet a dear man again one day...in the meantime...I embrace my own happiness within myself, I like myself, go out and date, socialize with friends, celebrate life. I'm happy. . . and that comes from within. I bring that happiness out to appreciate myself, others and love of soulfulness (God). Life is pretty cool...sucky at times, yes...but, overall...life is a rush and I'm happy.

According to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the real porpoise in life is "So long and thanks for all the fish!" If you mean purpose... I would prefer to believe that the purpose of life is to support the spiritual development of self and others in the community.
