Unfortunately,it will go down as the worst President in history. Many people agree with this. I used to think Nixon was the worst, but Bush tops him.

Historically, his presidency will probably represent the end of the Bush dynasty. He is a spoiled little rich boy who got into Yale because of Daddy's money, made several bad investments, ruined the S and L's, became a not so notable Governor of Texas, and made a fool of himself as President of the United States. He lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq so that he could kill Saddam Hussein, because Saddam, supposedly threatened to kill his daddy. He was manipulated by Dick Cheney because Cheney wanted to make big money off of Halliburton, and he has. That is about it. Except do not forget the Carlyle Group, daddy's investment firm in New York.

His legacy will look pretty bad. He puts people in administrative positions to advance dumb policies that favor business interest. Head of FDA and USDA have made some terrible decisions that have cost the lives of poor people.
Never has a presiden favored big business as much.

President Bush wants to be remembered in history books as a "good" president. Only history will prove if that comes to be.

Its too early to talk about legacy, Bush has 2 more years in office.
But so far his policies have resulted in tens-of-thousands of dead radical Islamists, 2 new democracies, lower taxes, education reform, prescription drug plan, lowest employment (under 5%), a cruel tyrant executed, and many other achievements.

Bush doesn't care about his legacy. In case you haven't noticed, his concern is eliminating terrorist and preventing another 9/11.
