Sure you can switch to IT. When campus placements start in ur college, u can apply for the IT companies which come there for recruitment.
They only need you to be aBTech graduate, they don't bother what ur stream is as they train you for their industry needs once recruited.

I became a physicist. Then I equipped electronics for physics experiments. Now i'm construction electronics for actual sciences. a number of my colleagues are chemists, some are EEs. We make no huge difference depending on human beings's history. We in user-friendly words differentiate by technique of journey.
