recently i had my pictures deleted off of my computer when no one else accesses it but me, i want to know how and why it did it because i had literally hundreds. does anyone know the answer to this?

Have tried the search menu it maybe that your computer has automatically moved them for space. If you do find them get them on a C D rom just in case they disappear again at least they are saved.

They might have been automatically archived so I'd agree try searching for them. I can't remember how to turn off archiving so you may want to ask about that if it turns out that was the problem. They could have been turned into zipped/compressed files.
