i'm not married. but i do know you don't feel the same. some people are afraid, because marriage is a huge step in your life, the second biggest commitment you will ever make (the first being your children.)some people are happy because they know they made the right decision. some people aren't because they know they didn't. my dad knew the first two times he got married that it wasn't going to work out, going down the aisle. yet he still did it. and ended up divorced twice in 7 years.

Since getting married, I have never felt so happy. I get to spend every day with my best friend! We have had some rough times; finding time to spend together hasn't always been easy and we've had a lot of outside stressors, but knowing that he is there for me and will help me through it makes it easier to bear. We share each other's burdens, cheer each other up, and plan for our future together.
Find the right person, and it'll be a wonderful experience. Marry the wrong person, and it will probably be miserable.

Everyday is a new day. Some good and some bad. The person you want to marry is the person who helps you grow as well as the person you help reach their fullest potential. I am married 19 years and totally accomplished more than I ever thought I would with my husband.
Still growing...Totally agree!

As our holly book "GITA" said- 'Karmanye vadhikaraste ma faleshu kadachanam' means your rights exists only up to the action. the result rests in the hand of God. I mean that a man is partly free and partly bound in his married life: i.e. he is bound by the effect of his past acts. just as in a game of cards, a player is bound by the cards he gets, This means the results of the married life depends the way we do, so i feel if a person is honest, responsible, carring, in his wedding relation his married life can be HEAVEN or in the same way he can turn his married life HELL

I think women get happier and men get unhappier after marriage. My cynical opinion is that it's all a bait and switch for men. They find a woman they really like and are having lots of fun... once they get married, it's a short time until the kids happen, the sex turns off and you find yourself in suburban "keep up with the Jones's" home improvement hell. Just my opinion.

Well, I'm not married, but live like I am and happy! The little party (wedding) won't change a thing :) We're never having children though. My uterus is not a housing unit!
