Depends how thick. Hacksaw is fine for thin stuff up to 0.5cm. Any more than that then go electric with a metal bladed jigsaw, or if you want to get really serious then grinder or welding torch.

Depends what you want to cut, but a hacksaw can cut metal. obtainable from any DIY shop.When you fit the blade, you fit it with the teeth facing away from you.

Plasma Torch! It's 30,000 degree fahrenheit plasma slides through most any conductive material like a hot knife through butter.
Got mine at www.harborfreight.com
Others have many good suggestions for those smaller jobs. This one will slice and dice a car. We did it to a Cadillac we bought for spare parts.
