The Peter Principle states "People are advanced to the level of their incompetence". If you do a job well, you get a promotion and keep getting them until you can no longer do well. At that point you are stuck. They're not stupid, they're just in over their heads.

Most bosses have "intelligents for the complete business side of production". But common sence, overall people relations, suck. They care only about the company and expanding within that field, and looking good in the eyes of upper management. No consideration for the employees just beginning or below their position. Thats so true a statement. They're stupid when it comes to "common sense or rational decisions" that would make the job easier, more attractive for new hires or loyal dependable employees. I think it goes to their heads when they are promoted. Its a control thing.
