Going out tonight and this has never occured to me before! Is there a certain way you should do it?

I always shave, as this removes some dead skin.
I then tend to use a good exfoliator like Body Shop Strawberry Scrub, I then rinse and use a body brush to rub in a wash like Body Shop Satsuma Lotion and then I rinse this off and apply moisturiser to the dry bits - knees, elbows etc! And then I apply my fake tan which is Fake Bake.

I have never had streaks this way or dodgy orange bits!

Good Luck :)

If I understand your question right you should
1. shave your legs first
2. exfoliate
3. then fake tan

if you shave your legs first it just means you're starting on a fresh pallet, if you use shaving gel or a razor with a moisturising aloe strip (or something of the sorts) it will leave a residue that you don't want when you apply the tan so you use the exfoliate to clear out the pours and to clean off of residue and dead skin cells.

Make sure you put the tan on way in advance, and remember it usually takes a while to develop.

Hopes this helps!

DONT shave before a fake tan like immediatly before as the fake tan goes into the pores of your legs and it looks well kind of spotted. Shave the day before, exfoliate in the shower immedietly before and then apply the fake tan.

This yahoo answer may be adapted for your needs! Obviously do this well in advance of going out and instead of your face...use it on your legs.....this clears the skin...make sure you concentrate on the knee's and any rough hard skin on your feet......this will turn orange or brown if you haven't.Then simply follow the manufacturers instructions. Oh and it is no difference whether you exfoliate before or after you shave.

i would shave then exfoliate in case the razor roughs up the skin a little-all the fake tans i have used recommended to use them the day after shaving as shaving opens the hair follicle and you will end up with 'spotty' legs.

If you wax do it the day before, only because your skin will be more sensitive and react to the tanning products. I usually shave, exfoliate, wait and hour then apply the tan lotion, i have sensitive skin and this way is fine for me.

They usually say. THE DAY BEFORE, shave, exfoliate and moisturise dry patches. Shaving takes off layers of skin so I'd do it first then exfoliate.

I would exfoliate before [just gently though] i usually exfoliate my whole body , face at least 3 times a week, i love the clean feeling and how soft your skin feels. Good luck make sure you don't get the orange look:)))

You should always exfoliate prior to shaving - you get a better shave, even.
