My fiance and I have worked out that I am going to be most firtile on monday 5th feb so obviously this is the day we need to be ttc, the thing is I am going away to London for three days on monday 5th feb on a course - without my fiance!
We will be able to try first thing in the morning before I have to catch the train but that means I wont be able to lie in bed for 1/2 hour with my hips propped up, I just wanted to know if there is anything I could do to help those little swimmers stay up there?
sorry if tmi but can anyone help?

➔ Trying to Conceive
A few of you seem confused about my hips being propped up, I have been told that this can help as gravity will be on sperms' (little swimmers) side.

When I was trying for a baby - I also worked out my most fertile time as well but as it was my cycle didn't go by the book. My fertile time actually occurred a couple of days afterwards and I could feel a slight pain inside which I knew when I should try. I also propped my hips up - usually had my legs up against the wall to help them!!! I think you just have to let nature takes it course and it will get there in the end. Some people can take months to conceive while others only the month.

if you don't believe in Shettle's method (choosing the gender of your baby) and you don't care - i'd also do it on the 3rd and 4th of February where you can do your lying down method.
Sperm CAN live in your body, so if you're expecting your egg on the 5th, it might be worth it to have a few guys waiting for your egg.
Some people advocate making love every OTHER day, so if that is your preference, try only the 3rd of February and then the 5th in the morning.
Some people advocate males drinking a cup of very strong coffee to give the little guys a jump start. Also doing it when both of you aren't too tired.
Otherwise make sure you both have lots of good rest and relax and enjoy! If it doesn't happen this month, there is another chance next month.

WHy don't you and your fiance wait till your married to start a family*........and wait till you've finished your course...sounds like you're not ready for a child right now but YOU sooo want one you're even laying in bed with hips propped up for 1/2hr...WHY?? You may be most fertile Feb 5th* but you can try the night before as well as the morning that you have to leave. If it doesn't happen , it's not meant to be right now*~
Try again when you get back* Maybe you'll be preggers by Valentines day? If it's meant to be.......it will be*~
GOODLUCK*

Check out this site, it's a cup to be used instead of a tampon, but a lot of TTCers use them AFTER intercourse to keep the sperm up near the cervix without having to hike your legs up in the air and you can leave it up there for up to 12 hours. I haven't tried it yet (I should be ovulating tomorrow so it's too late for me to order some this month) but if I don't get pregnant this month I will be trying them next.

I wouldnt worry about it to much, if your gonna get pregnant that mth then you will, just relax. My wife is expecting our 3rd baby and she has never lay with her hips/legs propped up in order to help conception. You can always try the following mth if un-successful. good luck

Well, once they're in, they're in. You can walk around and it will NOT affect whether or not you end up pregnant....that's an old wives tale. Stress, however, can inhibit becoming pregnant, so relax, have some goodbye nookie, and let nature take it's course...obsessing will just stress you out and won't change a thing. Take a test 2 weeks later and good luck.

have lots of sex a few days before as sperm can survive in a womans body up to about 5 days but the earlier the better. and when you get home still have a go as you have up to about 5 days when you ovulate.

try just before you go as sperm can live from 24 - 72 hrs in your womb and try just before as you may still get pregnant leading up to ovulation
