Whatever happened to Tower Records?

A lot of Tower record outlets have closed in Metro Manila. Is there a similar trend in other countries?

Yes. All Tower Records in the U.S. closed on December 22, 2006. There are still a few overseas locations in Ireland and Japan.

Tower.com still does exist, but was purchased by another company and is not operated by its original owners.
