How about what you shouldn't put in the disposal? From experience, chicken fat, bones and potato peelings. I don't even put egg shells but then I never heard that about them sharpening the blades; it kind of makes sense.

Just about anything food that you can think of. I am guessing that you can't put chicken bones down the disposal, but I hear that egg shells help sharpen the blades.
