With synthethic materials available it seems cruel to wear these animals carcass. The point is there is an alternative and most of these animals die painful unnecessary deaths. You are right that PETA seems to be unfairly targeting J Lo, while others are guilty of doing the same thing.

Of course not what a stupid question! They should all be ashamed of themselves. Why not wear animal fur? - because fake fur is just as beautiful and you know it's not from an animal that has been caged for months in a tiny space and skinned alive. They go mad literally and live extremely miserable lives. No creature deserves to die for the sake of vanity. Basically Jennifer Lopez is not particularly talented, not particularly pretty and is so far up her own backside to give a damn. Shove her in a cage to suffer the same fate I say and see what she says. PETA should give all these idiots attention though I agree. Celebrities are over rated though and it's the public's fault for reading magazines, buying their music etc. If we all stopped doing that they would be nobodies. REAL people are much more interesting. Rant over!

It's not right, but no different than the leather shoes almost everyone is guilty of wearing. PETA is crazy, better left ignored. Think, if the celebrity of the month has a coat made of, say, 50 chinchilla pelts, and PETA douces it in red paint, is it all that likely that said celebrity won't go out and get another, made from another 50 dead chinchillas? Not to meantion how many animals PETA euthanizes themselves annnually.
It's not as big a deal as everyone makes it out to be. I'm not for it by any means, I don't even wear leather myself *but that's because i don't eat cows or any other red meat, why would i wear it?* but it's a tired topic and it will never be made illegal to own fur in this country.
And PETA goes after whoever will get them the most attention, just so you know.

Jennifer Lopez SELLS Fur! I was looking at ear rings and hers has mink balls on them. She doesn't just wear it, she has her own line of clothes and she sells it. I think that's why. I don't like Jennifer Lopez for this reason either! It is discusting! Also, the people target one person. they do the same thing to Lindsay Lohan but just not with the fur. Why do you care anyway? Why would you want to wear something that was snapped at thee neck and then skinned . It is absolutely gross! Animals have feelings, too! What if it was your dog she was wearing!

I guess PETA sees Jenifer Lopez as more of a role model/ icon than the others. It's probably more effective to make a big to-do about one person rather than dividing the attention between more celebrities at a time.

Jennifer Lopez is a role model to many people (i don't know why but she is). Both Shakira and Beyonce blatantly ignore PETA's pleas, so PETA has about given up with them. J'Lo is just the newest one that they want to stop wearing fur.

It doesn't matter what your name is....I don't think you should wear animal fur, famous or not. People do have the right to make their own decisions but personally, I will never wear it. I think the fake stuff looks just as nice. I will not force my beliefs or opinions on someone who chooses to wear it though.

Celebrities love controversy, so she will wear fur regardless of what protestors or animal rights groups say.
Not a big fan of fur myself anyway.

I believe a person wear what they choose to wear. It's freedom of speech. Some might dislike it some might like it but it's their choice.
