Well, having been raised in a 'propah southern household', it is never appropriate to pass gas in the presence of someone else. I swear my mother NEVER EVER passed gas in her whole life. 80) I've been married 17 years and I still get mildlly embarrassed when I pass gas in front of my hubby. Come to think of it, I don't think my husband has ever passed gas either.

I still think it's disgusting. He farts in front of me all the time, but I still leave the room for him. It's just rude (but I get away with it when I'm sleeping)
