Yeah, sometimes the baby gets in a position that is difficult to monitor. They don't worry too much about it on the first scan. at 32 weeks you will be closing in on your due date and the heart and other major organs will be completely formed. The baby will also be bigger and make a scan easier to detect any possible problems. I'm sure they have already listened to the baby's heart - if that gave them nothing to be concerned with, don't worry about it, it is just procedure.

I'm obviously not a doctor, but I've read that that can happen (that they can't get a good look at a certain organ) and that it's normal--sometimes the baby is moving a lot so they can't get a good look, or it's the position of the baby. Then they just ask you to come back for another look--I read this on a medical website. I'm sure the baby is fine, otherwise they would not have let you leave or asked you to come back in 12 weeks. Good luck and I hope everything turns out okay!!

its common to have two or three ultrasounds during a normal pregnancy,
if they had said see you again in 3 or 4 weeks, i might be worried, 12 weeks out, will put you at 32 weeks which is right around when the baby flips to the head down position and they want to make sure, if the baby doesn't turn they need to know before the delivery room

12 weeks? You should be having an appoinment every 4 weeks... if they are only seeing you every 12 weeks you need to find a new doctor.

I had mine yesterday and there was an angle to heart they couldn't get and I was told the same thing. It is my experience my doctor is very honest, so I am not worried. I don't think you have any reason to be either!

No not coming back at 12 weeks, never heard of it.

Absolutely. If he was really worried, he would call you after a week or send you for some more testing.
