Option 1:Birth Control Pills
Birth control pills are little hunks of hormone that trick your body into not producing an egg every month. They work. Period. IF you take them correctly - meaning EVERY DAY at the SAME TIME EVERY DAY. You can't only take them when you have sex, that's not how they work. If you decide to go on the pill, you have to be totally sure you can make that sort of commitment. If not, you are going to end up pregnant.
option 2:Condoms
Condoms are the most common choice for many couples, and for good reason. Anyone can get them (they are available in any drug store or grocery store and you don't have to be a certain age to buy them). They are relatively inexpensive. And, most importantly, they work pretty well, if you be sure to follow the directions and use them correctly.
Option 3:Depo-Provera
Depo-Provera is not something that many couples have heard of, but it is one of the most effective birth control methods out there. Basically it's a shot that a girl gets once every three months, in the arm or buttock, and starting about 24 hours after you get the shot, you can't get pregnant. The effectiveness is amazing - it's not FOOLPROOF - but it works as good as the pill if you religiously get your shot every three months. It works by fooling your body into thinking you're pregnant - because you can't get pregnant when you're pregnant, if that makes sense to you. Your body stops producing eggs. It's also great because, unlike the pill, you don't have to remember to take it EVERY day.

We are also a young married couple. We used birth control pills for the first few years of our marriage. It was good, very little side effects, and was able to avoid pregnancy. I would not recommend Depo (the shot). It is convenient because she doesnt need to take it very often, and it is effective....but, when you are ready to begin your family (if that is your long term plan), the shot has shown to take longer to get out of her system than traditional birth control pills. With the pills, we were able to get pregnant (now 4 months along) within a year (most couples take from 6-12 months to conceive) after discontinuing birth control. congratulations on your marriage, and good luck!

There are many ways to avoid but everything is only 99.99%. Not 100% safe.
I would suggest to use condoms. Be more careful the time of conceived when making love. I don't personally like pills and the shots (injections) because it can make women fatter or skinnier in some cases. Mostly fatter.
In Asia ( i do not know in western countries), I have seen the type of pill only take one pill after making love. so, if you do not make love, you do not have to take the pill. only take within72 hours after having sex. But like I told you, they do not garentee 100% for avoiding pregnancy. So, make your own choice or go to OG doc and get the doc's advice.

There are a lot of birth control options out there. The best one is the birth control pill, at a 99% sucess rate. Talk to your family doctor. This is a very personal choice, and one that should be made by both of you together.

Condoms are only the best one to avoid pregnancy, since by using pills, she may loose birth control for ever, for some people by using pills instantly it is good but later they have lost their chance for becoming pregnant. so I kindly suggest u to use condoms. We cannot say that they are also 100% safe and protecting from pregnancy . It is advisable to avoid.
