Since PowerPoint is part of your schoolwork, ask your teacher to provide the software so you can do your work. It shouldn't be on you to purchase software you wouldn't normally use, unless this was stated somewhere.

Well... you could go out and buy it...
Maybe there's a demo of it somewhere.
Or you could try using the Openoffice Impress which does the same thing as power point. I'm just not sure if it'll look the same on powerpoint as it does on Impress.
