Have you ever met that "special person" whom never speaks badly of anyone else? Or spreads ugly gossip? Or reveals your sacred secrets to anyone else? Don't you just admire that person? They don't gloat or tout there successes, they don't "preach" from their podiums on how wonderful they are or how horrible you are. They are humble, loyal, and decent. Well these people are most certainly NOT liberals.

That is amazing. I think exactly the same thing about conservatives. The main difference being I trust absolutely nothing the US media says and prefer foreign sources for the truth about what is going on in the world. I am utterly amazed at how many people truly lack knowledge of all the things that the US has done to other countries in the world.
Why can't conservatives make political decisions based on facts and reality instead of propaganda and misguided loyalty?
Why is viewed as weak or naive to try diplomacy and negotiation and maybe trying to understand why it is that certain groups of people do hate us? Why is better to start wars and sacrifice the lives of thousands of people?
I am not saying that war is unnecessary and the world is perfect and diplomacy will always work, but we should always strive for peaceful negotiations, we all share the same world.
War should be the last option when facing opposition to what the US wants. It shouldn't be the first option.

Your first sentence answers your question. You have become "so partisan." Neither side gets the entire award for hypocricy, dishonesty, etc. And here you are making inflammatory, defamatory statements, but thinking you're ever so open minded. A more interesting question is why do people like you insist on putting a label on everybody and then throwing mud at it.
There are a lot of people like me out there. I'm registered independent and I can think for myself, thank you. I sometimes agree with a "conservative" position and sometimes a "liberal one." Wouldn't it be fun if everybody stopped joining one camp or the other and starting parsing issues based on facts?

Here are some liberal ideas that amaze me. And what makes it worse, they think we conservatives are after them. LOL
1. There is a Black Caucus organization that is set up to promote only the black politicians. A Caucasian tried to join last week and they rejected him based on his race. Go figure, if a white based organization did that they would all but explode. Hey there's an idea.
2. The Clinton administration sent millions of dollars in HIV protection in the form of condoms to Africa and other poor countries to help prevent the spread the disease. Well it turns out that after two years and who knows how many millions of dollars later, they find out the condoms are not being used. They find out it is against their culture to use that type of protection. It took them two years to know that. Wow and they say the Bush administration is out of touch.
3. The former National Security Advisor for Clinton stole documents, stuffing them down his pants and socks. Those documents were never recovered. And here they are wanting crucify the Republicans for telling the name of a CIA operative who was no longer an operative.
I too have grown weary trying to understand them. You need to read Ann Coulter's book "How to talk to a liberal (if you must)". It is a lesson all conservatives need to have.

Arguably, the same statements have been used only with the term, "conservatives". I started off fairly conservative, until seeing the hypocrisy, greed, and arrogance of the GOP. Family values? Why then are Dole and Gingrich divorcees? Helping the common man? Why tax cuts for the upper 2-5%? Morality? Why the Mark Foley and Jack Abramoff scandals?
I could go on and on, but I feel very justified in my liberal views, and cannot gauge why conservatives consider the partisan rants of Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, and Ann Coulter "factual" in any sense save that they just like having their own narrow, self-serving views reinforced back at them. Conservatives have been behind the most restrictive efforts. If it weren't for liberals, women probably still couldn't vote or hold jobs, minorities would still have their own separate bathrooms and schools, and evolutionism would be a "socialist fantasy".
And when I see conservatives marching steadfastly into President Bush's quagmire in Iraq in unquestioning lockstep, the fact you call liberals "sheep" is all the more ironic.
Good day to you, madam.

I know. I hate them so. In my Utopian world, there would be little camps where Liberals could be put away and kept away from decent Republicans and conservatives. Real courageous conservatives don't worry about niceties such a causes for war,
individual rights, or stringent evidence before prosecuting some one. We just execute, invade , attack, and lockup bad people. If we can't find evidence, well just torture out a confession or two.
Everyone is guilty of something. Let us make the trains run on time. As Stalin used to say, " You can't make omlettes without breaking eggs".

in case you do not share your perspectives on politics how do they even recognize you're a republican? perhaps your 'conservative' strategies merely make you communicate and behave like a self righteous pompous git ... as shown by technique of your question.

You are irritated because you are learning and its frustrating when those who disagree with you don't make the same effort.
Should you point out that the socialist policies of the left do not work these days you get the same answer:
socialized medicine kills (so does Iraq!)
the minimum wage destroys jobs (Iraq!)
excessive taxation harms the economy (Iraq, I say!)
punishing capital investment - because they buy into the idiocy that capitalists "exploit" workers - makes everyone worse off (but I wnat to complain about Iraq!!!)
It's frustrating because it's so tedious.

A common flaw in the younger generation ,when it comes to politics,is that both of the "extreme" wingers, seem to reject reality, and replace it with their own!!
