Stupid but not racist. If it had been a scots person it would've been jock mchaggis, italian fabio spaghetti, turkish donna kebab etc etc.

Jades mum is white trash. just cos a big black man said it doesn't make it racist.

Can we just not forget the whole Jade/Shilpa thing now please?

Shilpa doesn't think Jade was being racist, and even though Jade was a bully, she wasn't racist. I wish we could just put the race thing to one side and think why 3 girls (yes it wasn't only Jade) bullied another? It wasn't to do with race, it was to do with their insecurities.

And how come when all the magazines where calling Britney Spears "white trash" was race never brought up? Jermaine wasn't being racist and neither was Jade.

Please end this Big Brother race thing - it's questions like this that perpetuate the situation.

I for one do not think that Jade is thick at all. Most of the questions etc she cannot answer or knew was when she was so child-like in the first BB she was in. She has grown into a lovely looking girl and makes loads of money. I think all those who class her as thick is just envious and wish that they were her. We will see if anything will be said to Germaine about calling them white trash [ i doubt it] it would be politically incorrect asking a black person such a question. Anyway I don't trust anyone who sits with a doffy grin on his face from morning to night, looks slimy , sneaky and underhand.

This whole "controversy" is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I am an American, but from what I've heard, no one in the house said anything overtly racist. The worst that could be said about the offending quotes is that they were stereotypical and not politically correct, that's it.

When you force very different people, who don't know each other, to live together for several weeks or months and film every minute of it, things like this may be said. I can't believe this has become such a huge issue. I also can't believe that Britain has become more politically correct than the US.

Aha! Much is explained about the Goodiest weltanschaung. Your sensitivity comes through your nipples (see additional comments from the questioner).

As a chap, I, too, derive certain sensations from certain areas of the body in which nerve endings are concentrated, but I do not think, or feel, with my mitred bishop.(See the poem "Peanuts Joe" by Tony Harrison for elucidation) I use my brain for that purpose.

Ms Goody simply compounded her offence of being a chav; bereft of all manners and lacking in any degree of grace and sensitivity; by the "poppadum" remark. She put the tin lid onto a display of vituperative abuse, expressed largely monosyllabically, and emphaticised by the argot of the gutter, that would stagger the average petty criminal and appal all those with an IQ above 62.

Ms Goody was not necessarily racist, she was simply downright rude. Lacking, as she does, the slightest degree of knowledge as to how be able to exist in the presence of any expression of culture (other than a culture of pathogenic bacteria grown in a petri dish), she was unable to appreciate Shilpa's concern about the over-use of what seems to be a rare commodity in the Big Brother menage, to wit, a stock cube. The argument nearly led to a second version of the War of Jenkins's Ear.

The nub is as follows. Ms Goody, and those of similar kidney, (with or without a stock cube), feel only emotivally - with the emotions, not with rationality, which comes from the ability of the brain to apply ratiocination and maintain a sense of proportion. You claim that "an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth" is justice. Could I suggest that you cease to use your nipples as a measure of what is worthy, and, instead, engage your brain and welcome the contribution of this organ, rather than ignoring its very existence.

i am on your side, other people in this country are sheep, if Shilpa had called Jade Fish and Chips, so on so on, not a thing would of been said this country has gone politically correct with a dunce cap on. I have lost all my faith and they wonder why there is no patrioism. Stop watching big Bruv after jades eviction and good luck to her x

I think that neither are racist. I don't think jade has the intelligence to censor what she says before it comes out. It goes to show what a subhuman being she is. Moron and cretin arent just mere insults, but actual terminology for people of low IQ. I would be surprised if she reached these.

It wouldnt have mattered if it was just that one comment, it was the whole thing put together, jade victimised and bullied shilpa.
However i agree it wasnt racism just old fashioned bullying which is bad enough in my book!
I think the racism card is used to freely these days! why does it not matter if its just bullying? also i dont think jermaine was racist, she IS white trash and im british white.

VERY good point i thought it was funny but not racist because popadom is a snack in india, so if shilpa called jade "jade crisps" then she wouldn'nt get done for racism!!!!
