I think it's FANTASTIC.
I used to go to church regularly as a child/teenager, until I went down a different path with drugs and etc..., now still 18 years later I still don't feel comfortable in conventional churches. I think it's GREAT that's he's reaching out to people that probably wouldn't feel comfortable getting dressed up and sitting with people that look down on them for the way they look.
I think it's great that he's really bringing the message of God's love to a group of people that probably wouldn't hear the message otherwise.

I started watching this series this weekend and couldn't stop. I didn't know what to expect although it wasn't what I got. I found myself really really liking Jay Bakker and admiring his viewpoints, his church and the way he related to his family..wife, mom and dad. What a cool guy!
