you are not allowed to bring dairy when it is above the limit. this poster announcement is placed in almost any international airports in Indonesia (saw it in Bali, Jakarta, and Balikpapan). when you do bring dairy into Indonesia e.g cheese, you have to report it.

i think they limit the amount for a passenger to carry in dairy into Indonesia ever since 2005? if i am not mistaken, but i can not remember how many/much exactly.

you can find the poster/announcement just when you are queueing for the passport check at the customs point

I have flown in Jakarta airport many times and they don't seem to be concerned about what kind of food items you bring in. I wouldn't try to bring in Raw meat or anything but other than that I think just about anything is fine. I have never had my bags inspected or anything.

I have been travelling singapore jakarta for many times and I find, normally, for our own consumption there should not be problem to bring in the food to Jakarta.

Welcome to Jakarta!
