My child had braces for a year. The orthodotist removed the braces saying his teeth were now straight. He retired. When I took him to another dentist. That dentist showed me how my son can't close his jaw because his teeth are not alighned. Now I have to get braces again.

Did another orthodontist take over the practice when the other man retired? If he did then you may have a claim against the business rather than the individual orthodontist. If the practice has been taken on by someone else, then you should speak to them first and find out what they are responsible for. If they bought the business then they bought the client list and all the problems that associate with it.

Litigation isn't always the right course of action, often it is better to check things out before running to see a lawyer.

Maybe you should see another orthodontist for a second opinion. This dentist could be after money. Also, teeth move back. I have a friend who had to get braces for a second time because she did not where her retainer properly and her teeth became crooked again. Besides, if the guy is retired what would you gain by suing him or complaining about him?
