In the face of Ford Motor Co. falling down in the market through loss of sales, etc. Why do they continue to support all the gay issues? Don't they realize that might be one of their problems?

Because if what you're saying is true, they have a fantastic moral compass, and can recognize and do the right things even when the bigoted society will smack them down.

I commend the American Family Association for their work on this issue. While I know there are many people that are homesexual and otherwise do good things, Christians have a choice in this issue. Either renounce their faith and support same sex marriages and civil unions, or be an atheist. Christians also have a duty to make sure that as they exert their influence in society, that they do not try to force a particular "Church" on the masses. Morality is a good thing to speak up for. I'm sure many people regardless of where they stand on this issue are distraught that child pornography is still not eradicated from the internet. In this regard, Christians need to speak up and Christian leaders must denounce not just child pornography, but all kinds of pornography from their pulpits. My gut feeling is that most Christians would rather be "lukewarm" and not take a stand on any important issue. We must speak up about all the wickedness that goes on around us and we should make our influence known! May the wisdom of God lead each of us as we strive to honor God above all else, even above the pervesions of human passion gone wrong!

Hmmm... A lot of other companies support gay rights and they aren't falling down. Perhaps Ford's problems stem from the fact that their cars just aren't as good as many others?

ford is tired of selling to rednecks. those yahoos had hurt ford's image and those same yahoos are too poor and stupid to be able to afford to buy more than one brand new car in their lifetime. so ford turns to gay folks for better sales opportunities. hehehe....

It's because as a demographic, gays and lesbians have more disposable income than any other group. Corporations realize this, and they weigh the benefits of embracing the demographic against loss of sales. It's a gamble, but in some cases it works.

At least they are enlightened and the country is becoming more enlightened as a whole too, try expanding your mind, it's the lastest craze, everybody is doing it.
