Wow Jordy,
I hope you found all those wonderful answers extremely helpful. *cough*
As you know your collar bone is broken, as you stated it in your question, which means you have spoken to a doctor, I am sure you are asking the question because you are curious about other people’s experience who have suffered a like injury.
I have personally not had this injury however my brother did, and with that in mind my answer is:
The first month is really important for the bone to set again, so do not lift anything, stay as immobile as possible.
After the first month you can start to move around more, but you will still not be able to lift anything.
After two months you should really start to strengthen the arm, it has been out of use for a while now so it will be very weak, take it SLOW. Physiotherapy is a good idea.
37 lbs is a lot to lift, and you do not want to re-injure the arm so I would say you will be out for at least two months.
Good luck, and take it slow.

With the right physiotherapy, it took me 3 months. 20 years later it hurts me still once in a blue moon.

Why are you asking us, your doctor has that info, plus he knows the extent of the break, and he is the one to ask, not us yodels on this site.

If you don't know without asking, I doubt that it's really broken.
