We have just started to talking about 2 month ago and i like him alot. I'm 21 and he is 24. He has been in the usa for 14 years. I did not even know he was africa at first. l'm afraid of what my family is going to think of him? i don't know how to tell them about him

why would they think badly about it? you're both black right? just your family has been here longer, perhaps from the time of slavery, and hes only been here a few years. and 3 years age diff isn't a big deal at 21.

They may be concerned that if you and he got married and had children, he might run off back to Africa with them and you would not find them. But that's a risk with anyone from a different country. Just have him over and introduce him. He may tell them himself.

I don't think it will matter, especially since he has been in the states for 14 years. If he has been naturalized, he is also an African American citizen. If he is illegal, then your parents may not be to pleased to meet him.

If you like him don't worry. I'm sure your parents have raised you to have good judgment of chariotor. So for all the reasons you like him, I'm sure they will too. Tell your parents you want them to meet someone special. This will let them know that he means a lot to you. Best of luck!

just tell them the truth, and its your choice not no one else in the family, you are an adult now, and they have no say in the matter who you see. and If he is the one that makes you happy , go for it.
