Men are too much stronger than women to hit them in the face. Give them a spanking. That works much better.

I believe that yes, we are all equal as human beings. We are all born, we have to survive and then we all die. To me it's like this, for example, 2 kids are in a playground, one is bigger than the other and is beating up on the smaller kid, is that fair and do you view the smaller kid as not being equal? I personally view the kids as equal it's just that the bigger kid happens to be stronger. I don't believe in violence and I couldn't imagine hitting anyone. It is never acceptable for a man to hit a woman or visa versa. Domestic violence is just awful whoever it's happening to. The double standard I see is that when women are the victims of domestic violence and men are the perpetrator, people are sympathetic. When men are the victims of domestic violence and women are the perpetrators, it's not taken seriously. I have known women in my life so far that do believe it's acceptable for a woman to hit a man and what makes it worse is they play on the fact that it's not acceptable for a man to hit a woman. So when they hit a man they do it knowing that the man is more than likely not going to hit her back. I believe if a woman hits a man the man should definitely lay assault charges. Unfortunately men are less likely because they are scared that the authorities won't take them seriously because men are raised to 'take it' or 'just walk away' when a woman hits them. I think it's still ingrained in our society that it should be one way for women and another for men. It's not going to change until people start raising their children to believe that it is wrong to hit 'anyone' whether they be male or female.

lol thats funny but no gentlemen hits a lady!!but i suppose if your not a gentlemen you could. It makes you less of a man though just restrain her and all this about equality then i suppose you are willing to work come home clean and cook! Its equality right!! So woman shouldnt be in charge of cleaning cooking and taking care of the kids if you are willing to do half of that then sure go hit her!!

if she hits you first- yes.
I think its less about gender, more about size.
if a woman is a body builder, she could really hurt the adverage guy if she hit him
if a guy is bigger than a girl, he shouldn't hit her
same thing for the same gender, a bigger woman shouldn't hit a smaller one and a bigger man shouldn't hit a smaller one

You can't hit a fat woman just because she is fat. The only time that a man can be justified in hitting a woman is if she hits him first.

In the past it was always ''never hit a woman'' but today women want to be equal so if they hit you go ahead beat her up so bad she'll need plastic surgery and say it was self defence. Sounds equal to me.

Sorry-it's still socially unacceptable to hit a woman. I also think that a woman who would hit isn't much of a lady.

Just carry maze all you need is a small tube which fits comfortably in your pocket. If she hits you just spray her with it, ending the violence. Works like a charm. All she will have is teary eyes. Not very manly but it is better than hurting her.

I think if a woman is attacking you and you cannot clearly get away, it is okay to defend yourself in whatever means are nessicery. I don't mean, if she slaps you across the face, or if she cheated on you and "she deserved it", I mean, if she's beating the living hell out of you and causing REAL damage.

Of course there is.
If a man walked up and slapped, no doubt you would feel justified in responding with equal or greater force. Why should a woman be treated any differently. Isn't that the premise behind "equality"?
