TO find any percentage of anything, do this simple task:
Divide the number or whole 100 percent by 100:
then times it by the percentage you want, for example:
50 percent of 400:
400 divided by 100 = 4
4 x 50 = 200
:)

wee if 1% means one in a hundred you have to work out how many hundreds there are and there are 1000. then all you have to do is divide 1 by 1000 which is 0.0001 which is your answer
