There are fewer than five-thousand Jews left in Poland. Before WW II, Poland had one of the largest Jewish populations in Europe; but the Holocaust all but wiped them out. Because of the severity of the Anti-Jewish sentiment in the country; most of those few who survived the Holocaust moved away afterward. Many went to Britain; many to the US, and many more to Israel.

No, not many. About 90 % of the Polish Jews were killed in the Holocaust and most of the survivors left Poland because of the severe antisemitism there. In the 50s there were still pogroms against remaining Jews in Poland. Many Poles who hid Jews during the Holocaust tried to hide that fact after the war because they had to fear the anger of the antisemites. They went to different countries, I think mainly Israel and USA.

I am surprised if there are polish people left in poland i think they are here in the uk.
