But if your personal problems settle down then your start worrying about other things that you have no control, like war, global warming, etc. So, looking at that rationally, it would seem that it is never worth the effort to concern yourself with anything beyond your control. (Because your situation should not be a variable). I hope I asked this right/explained this question clearly. Anyway? Comments?

Your thesis is correct from my point of view, it happens to me very often, if I have a pressing personal or professional problem I zero out everything else, there can be a war happening in my backyard and I would not notice it, but when things settle down the external problems start creeping in. The global warming, the crime rate, etc.

I guess it has do with our genetic programming of how we see the threats (the more immediate the threat the the more pressing the concern).

The only thing that can be done, is not to worry at all, by worrying you are not doing anything constructive to find a solution (sounds great on paper I know) but after all we are human and we do worry.... Guess we have to learn not to do it so often.

i might fairly get it out in the open and take care of it. My family contributors has avoidance subject concerns and that i'm the undesirable one for desirous to easily take care of it and get it out of my existence. I hate drama.
