You cannot use an N64 controller on the Gamecube. The GC uses a version of the mini-disk, while the N64 uses cartridges, so no way to play N64 games on the GC even if you can use the N64 controller on the GC.
You also cannot use the N64 controller on the Wii because the Wii contains the plugs for the GC, and like I said previously, you cannot plug an N64 controller into a plug designed for the GC. Just go ahead and buy the classic controller.

a N64 controller won't work. I think the classic controllers are $20. It's a good investment if you plan on downloading any more games. It's much better than a N64 controller anyway.
Also, the classic controller can be used in Wii games as an alternate control scheme and may be the only controller you can use to play games such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl. A wavebird is also great if you have or plan on buying gamecube games, but you won't be able to play Wii games with it (I think).

dont buy the classic controller. if you want a good controller buy the gamecube wavebird. you can play all the VC games with it and all gamecube games. it is the best investment in my opinion because you dont have to worry about the regular GC controller wire. and you can use the 64 controller to play VC games but you need a special adapter and im not 100% if theyre released yet or still in the works. i know they made an adapter for the snes and nes controller so far but as for 64 it was still in the works last time i checked

a N64 controller received't artwork. i imagine the classic controllers are $20. that is a sturdy funding in case you recommend on downloading any extra video games. that is a lot extra effective than a N64 controller besides. also, the classic controller would properly be utilized in Wii video games as yet another administration scheme and could be the in user-friendly words controller you should use to play video games which contain great damage Bros. Brawl. A wavebird is likewise tremendous once you've or plan on paying for gamecube video games, yet you heavily isn't able to play Wii video games with it (i imagine).

Not that I'm aware of...But if you get a game cube(even though the controller is still diffrent) controller I'm pretty sure you can control N64 games with that....
as for everything else, well you have to go out and buy a controller that has a odd resemblance to a snes controller.
