Nobody needs a boyfriend TODAY!!! It may seem like "the cool" thing to have, but you sound young...enjoy your freedom. I didn't find my first boyfriend until I was 19 and I have no regrets. Most of my friends in school constantly had boyfriends and you know what I realized? I enjoyed my time and my life a lot more because I didn't have to check in with anyone, I never had to worry about someone being unfaithful to me, and best of all... I never had to deal with all the emotional b.s. associated with a relationship. Being single helped me concentrate on school, it gave me the chance to hang out with different groups of people whenever I wanted, and best of all... it made me realize a lot about myself as a person. I have friends out there who have been in relationships most their life and three-fourths of them have no idea how to function without someone else in their life.
Basically, if he doesn't want a relationship then brush it off and move on with your life. Maybe he doesn't appreciate what you might have to offer, but I can promise you something... someone else will. Don't waste your time, focus on you right now.

If he said that he didn't want to tell the truth because he didn't want to hurt you then that might be a bad sign but if he hugged you...mabey he only wants a girlfriend but he doesn't know how to say it. Guys are so confusing.
